Personal Growth NZ Ltd came out of a strong desire to see more qualified Contact Centre personnel in the workplace, and has since grown to include other qualifications and skill sets, including business administration, management and security.
Tara has been involved in the Contact Centre industry for over 10 years, having come from a Security background, where she was involved for almost a decade. She worked her way up from a part time casual guard to a Site Supervisor for the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Back in New Zealand, Tara started as a part time data entry clerk for a Contact Centre within a Security company, eventually working up to the position of a Senior Team Leader in an award winning Contact Centre (TUANZ Contact centre of the Year, 2004) and then moving on to starting and managing a Multinational Contact Centre for a leading extended warranty provider.
During her time in Contact Centres, Tara discovered that her real passion lay in coaching, mentoring and assessing her team and others, and so left the security of a salaried position to start her own company. In the time that Tara has been working for herself she has written several courses and she has facilitated both these and others. She has been busy assessing the NZQA National Certificate in Contact Centre Operations, levels 3 and 4. She is currently the only independent workplace assessor in Auckland who can assess and mentor through both of these National Qualifications.
Tara's approach is that if you're not having fun learning, you're probably not getting all that you can out of the course. She creates a warm and open environment with the candidates that she works with, so that they feel free to learn in a way that is meaningful to them. Tara successfully incorporates humour and enjoyment into all of her sessions, and the outcome of this has been fantastic results, and repeat customers.
Tara also believes in her own personal growth, and is involved in a variety of ongoing and short courses.
